A Walk Through the Woods [Closed]

[Infinity]

There was a figure, that could be seen in the outskirts of the Seireitei. He was sitting next to a tree, leaning his back against it. His black hair made a shadow in his eyes, and the tree was covering him in a darker shadow. He was asleep.

He arose from his spot, and decided to take a random stroll through the woods. He was there anyway, and it wasn't too much of a walk. Takeo put his hands in the pockets of his overcoat, and walked through humming a song that he use to play on guitar, when he was alive.

[Captain Stelevein]

Stelevein had been sitting outside his office reading. It was such a lovely day so why not spend it out side. The air was a bit breezy, but not much. The smell of cider filling it. The squad were all in there barracks, they were aruguing about stupid crap, or just talking. Most of them were arguing about Stelevein being the strongest captain, some said he was, others didn't agree. Stelevein himself didn't particularly care either way and really didn't believe he was the strongest anyway.

Eventually he got tired and decided to take a stroll in the woods nearby. He stood up and closed his book, placing it on his chair and heading off in the direction of the woods. He entered the woods, walking at a brisk pace, swerving in and out of trees. His captain Haori flowing in the wind. It wasn't too long before he heard the faint sound of humming. He knew it could only be one person, Captain Suzuki. He approached the captain once in close enough range to see.

"Captain Suzuki; what brings you out here?" He asked the captain without even so much as a hello first.

[Infinity]

"Hmm?" Takeo turned his head to the figure approaching him. "Oh, hello Captain Stelevein. I'm just out taking a stroll, getting away from the drama of the soul society." He sighed and started walking again, continuing the humming of his tune he had played as a human.

"I'll just be here minding my own, so don't mind me." He stated. Takeo jumped up into a tree, sitting on a branch. He rested his head against the trunk, along with his back, and sat. He closed his eyes, and continued his humming.

[Captain Stelevein]

Stelevein nodded to him, the soul society was a bit hectic lately, so he guessed even captain needed a break. He himself also needed one, and today was the first day he would be able to have that break. Stelevein jumped in the same tree that Takeo had just jumped in, Stelevein was on a different branch also resting his head against the trunk of it.

"So how's your squad doing lately?" Stelevein asked him trying to make small talk. It wasn't everyday he got to hold an actual comversation that wasn't of importance with another captain.

[Infinity]

Takeo's eyes opened. He looked over to the other branch, of which the other captain had been sitting. He yawned, then spoke. "Oh, my squad? Well Ya'know, same old, same old. We don't really have much excitement here. Though I would like to see some." He sighed with disappointment. "Someone needs to try and face me. I feel alone being the strongest in the squad, not even a Lt yet. But hey, beggers can't be choosers I guess." He stopped talking, because he realized that he started rambling. He closed his eyes once more.

[Captain Stelevein]

stelevein smiled a bit, then he laughed. If it was a challenge he wanted, he would gladly give Captain suzuki a challenge.

"If you want someone to face you, I'll give you the pleasure of facing me, that is, if you're willing." Stelevein said to the captain. It would only be for practice so nothing major like seriously wounding each other.

[Infinity]

A small grin appeared on Takeo's face. He was surely surprised. "Alright. I'll accept your challenge..." He grabbed the handle of his blade that he has sheathed to his back pulling it out and moving over to the branch, using shunpo throughout that whole action, so he was there within a blink of an eye. "...If you can handle it." He said grinning widely, as he was right next to the other captain, with his blade next to the other captains temple, just didn't slice, because he was only teasing. "This should be fun.. He said grinning.

[Captain Stelevein]

Stelevein was able to follow this captains movements. But, he himself did not move, when the blad was next to his temple Stelevein laughed. He stood up and stretched. He knew he could handle it, so that staement was void and didn't even bother him.

"Are you looking down on my Captain Suzuki?" He asked the captain while slowely unsheathing his Zanpakutou.

"I'm afraid you don't even know my Zanpakutou's abilities. Which is probably going to be your biggest downfall, though it's not as if I know yours either. So we're even in that respective."

[Infinity]

Takeo moved his blade from Stelevein's temple. "I'm not looking down on you, I'm simply telling you, that you may not be ready." He shrugged it off, and continued with the battle. "Also, it doesn't take knowing your opponent... It takes knowing yourself." He stated as he awaited for the captain to make his move first.

[Captain Stelevein]

Stelevein nodded in agreement. To a certain extent Takeo was right, if you don't know yourself, you'll never win. But, if you know nothing of your opponent, then that is also a downfall.

"Very well." Stelevein said yawning a bit as he spoke. He used shunpo to get behind captain Takeo. Once stelevein was behind takeo, he swung his Zanpakutou at the captain right arm. Hopefully it would have caught the captain off guard.

[Infinity]

The captain seeing the movement of Stelevien's shunpo, turned and raise his sword a bit, causing the two swords to collide, causing sparks to fly up into the air. He grinned with satisfaction. It has been a while since Takeo had this much action. He's been waiting for this for a while now. He suddenly remembered, of when he became a captain, how honorable the match was. This battle must have reminded him.

Takeo jumped back spinning his blade a bit. "From the looks of things. This is going to be a satisfying match." He said as he dashed foreword, attempting to slice into Stelevien's left shoulder, down to his right hip.

[Captain Stelevein]

stelevein noted Takeo's movements. As the Captain came down at Steleveins left shoulder, stelevein side stepped the attack. As he did this, he brought his sword up to meet Takeo's. the blades collided, sparking. He held his sword there, both swords touching, now it was a test of physical strength for the time being. Hopefully stelevein would over power him, if not, he might call on his Zanpakutou to aid him in this battle.

[Infinity]

Takeo pushed with his spirit, causing some spiritual energy, to go threw his body, and to his fingertips, then to the blade. This made the power of his push against the blade much higher than it already was. "You won't be able to beat me, with pure strength. However, I've also realized this for you as well. That is why I released spiritual energy from my spirit, onto my blade, allowing more pressure to be pushed to the blade. Meaning, my push against your blade is twice, what it already was. If you plan to beat me with mere strength, you might want to change your mindset, and release your zanpakuto." He said grinning, as he pushed even harder.

[Captain Stelevein]

Stelevein's blade was getting heavy from the force at which Takeo was pushing with. Stelevein let go of his force and jumped back. He had to release his Zanpakutou, he knew it.

"Refract Illuminada." stelevein said as he held his Zanpakutou out in front of him tilted sideways. This was starting to get interesting.

[Infinity]

Takeo watched with amusement. He jumped back as well, landing on a different tree branch, in a different tree. He wanted to see how long he can go without releasing his own zanpakuto. He always refrained from releasing it, because he has always wanted to prove his own power. He never wanted to rely on anyone else's power, such as the spirit in his zanpakuto, but he will when the time is necessary. "So, this is your Shikai? Interesting. This is gonna be good." He said waiting for his opponent to attack him.
